NFL's emphasis on player safety has largely been about protecting offensive players

Eagles defensive end Jason Babin refused to tackle anyone through the Bears Monday night. They are the latest on the growing quantity of defensive players who complain

the NFL doesn't protect them exactly the same it protects offensive players.

Babin said today that Bears ran a use on Monday night upon which a tight end in motion drilled him within the side when he couldn't consider it coming, knowning that the NFL

ought to make such plays illegal. I got the knocked out of me, Babin said, I knew somebody hit me from the side and I didn't know where it came from or who it was

eventually. To me it's those types of plays, where somebody could possibly get really hurt, particularly when you're running full speed but not looking.

Babin ripped Bears coach Lovie Smith and offensive Packers Jerseys coordinator Mike Martz for what he referred to as an intentionally called play. Babin acknowledged that this

blindside block will never be against the rules, but he thinks it must be. If everything is about safety and protecting players, then which could definitely fall under the

safety laws, Babin said.

This amazing play aside, there isn't much doubt that Babin's larger point is proper: The NFL's increased exposure of player safety has largely been about protecting offensive

players. Protecting defensive players is generally just as important.

From my opinion, Babin is being a whiner, which is apparently the trend for defensive players Custom Packers Jersey on losing teams this present year. But in a better sense they're right:

defensive player are not being protected like offensive players. There is two reasons for this: the NFL wants high scoring games and defensive players are usually the hitters,

not the hittees. Make sure people are paying to work out Rodgers or Brady throw TDs, Babin along with his D pals are gonna keep whining to no avail.

If it's for the rules of the game, it's not dirty. Period. You can easily blame the commissioner towards the rules. Yourrrre able to blame yourself in order to be ill-prepared

for what was approximately to happen. But to fault the Bears' coaching staff? They happen to be professionals who will have the job done on the rules of a game. It may not be

their fault you weren't ready sell. Maybe very next time you will be.
