Chargers recognize fans' character

In the last preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. the first, there wasMitchell and Ness Jerseysome action away from the field that got noticed.

The stadium concessionaire Centerplate's in-seat server Heather Allison tripped and fell in section 36 of the Club level at the bottom of the stairway near row 1. Her money, about $600, fell out of her apron and spread throughout the stair aisle and over the railing onto the plaza section.

Two Chargers fans and an Elite security guard helped Allison to receive every dollar back. Even the bills that dropped over the railing were eturned.

The Chargers and Centerplate recognized the helpful Chargers fans this Sunday by giving a "Bolt Up" T-shirt, Chargers hat and a $25 food voucher to every fan sitting in the first two rows of Club 36.

"Too often we only hear about the bad and this was a perfect example of two people who went out of their way to help someone," Chargers Chief Executive Officer A.G. Spanos said. "It's a nice way to wrap up the story. It's nice to see people go that far out of their way."

Two fans who were instrumental in assuring Allison had all her money returned were recognized by49ers throwback jerseysreceiving an additional $100 Chargers Team Store Gift Card.

"It's tough to say it, but it's really no big deal," Charger fan Jay Majmuder said. "Any good Chargers' fan would have done the same thing. It's all about human decency and it feels good."It is composed by lulumitchellandnessshopcom 10.04.2011
